We chose this hotel from a list of recommended places to stay by a conference being attended. I would not have chosen it otherwise and would not stay there again. The rooms were tiny, the bath towels tinier, and the water coming out of the faucet had a terrible odour. Its a good 45 minute walk to get anywhere near the old town and the intense summer heat made that near impossible so we ended up spending money on taxis to go everywhere. Had I known that it was so far away from everything, it would have been easier to spend more on a hotel closer to the old town and lose the cab fares. Having the glass shower less than 18 from the bed was weird and offers no privacy.
Theres a pool that was very, very, warm but thats not something that was under their control. What is under their control is the material around the pool. The type of stone laid around the pool absorbs heat to such an extent that you cant walk on it. You will literally burn the soles of your feet. Ive got the blisters to prove how badly you can burn yourself in as little as 5 seconds, which is as long as it took me to get off of them. There should at the very least be a warning sign telling you not to remove your shoes/sandals until you get to the water. Even an instant is like stepping on hot coals. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is that the staff are very friendly and bend over backwards to be accommodating. The staff are fantastic. The breakfast (extra fee) was also good, but mainly the staff. If youre trying to save money, this place is okay but next time Id definitely get a place much closer to the centre of town. There is absolutely nothing near the hotel.
