The room was much, much smaller than was anticipated, without a dedicated bathroom. I've lived in Europe for years and been to many, many hotels, so it's not a "Europe thing", but rather a very crammed space with few usable surfaces. Form is considered well before function in the rooms, which look cool but are exceptionally impractical to use as actual living spaces. The room size and layout was somewhat ridiculous, as were the "smart" features. Light switches were hanging out of the wall with exposed wires that looked like someone tried to "repair" by slathering with glue and pushing into place. Air conditioning didn't work, requiring opening the windows to move air and exposing to a loud noisy street all night long. Hands-free sink in room wouldn't allow changing the water temperature. The toilet had a Japanese-style seat that was too hot to sit on and took up space, making the effective size of the toilet smaller without any benefit. The light in the toilet room was motion-sensitive and very bright, which was very inconvenient in the middle of the night. It also shuts off after 2-3 minutes. The parking lot is around the corner from the building and small, requiring you to leave your keys at the front desk which is inconvenient. Breakfast is very limited - ham, cheese, toasted bread.
