About This Property

Situated in central Edinburgh, IVY- Braveheart Guest House is 10 minutes’ walk from the International Conference Centre and 20 minutes’ walk from the castle. There is a free WiFi. Rooms have a haird (Read More)ryer, and a flat-screen TV. Each also comes with tea and coffee making facilities. The shops of bustling Prince’s Street are a 20-minute walk from IVY- Braveheart Guest House. Holyrood Park, where you can climb Arthur’s Seat, is 2 miles from the building. We are a city centre guest house, therefore there are noisy road next to us. There are two set off staircase, each around 20 steps, we have no lift. The guest must respect the other guest and make sure to not make noise to bother other customers. The customer can not cancel the room on the day of the arrive, if you have special need or allergy to particular thing, please call us to check it out before you booking the room We only provide tea/coffee, hair dryer, towels on the day of arrival and can change towels every three days. Fore those would like big room, check out late or lots of facility, please book hotels with higher cost.

Superb

Cozy, comfortable, happy and relaxed.

The rooms and toilet are clean. It was comfortable to sleep in and very cozy. The staff is very accomodating.

Its distance to city centre is decent but still far. There were no breakfast or food.

It was a lovely cozy place that felt very welcoming. Location is great and all in all a very good place to stay.

Good location - just 15 mins by foot to Princess Gardens Nice cosy room with all neccessary Extra heater in room if you cold Great cosy neighborhood, shops and restaraunts nearby

Perfect for a short stay

The host was friendly and helpful and the room had everything I needed for a short stay. It was reasonably close to attractions, about 15 min walk to Edinburgh Castle and Grassmarket.

The walls are a bit thin and I could hear other guests. It was also a bit of a walk to Waverley Station (20 min).

Very good

I had a very pleasant stay! Although nothing really so special I think the location is good, the room spatious enough and the bed excellent. You can walk into the city center in about 10-15 mins and buses from this area take you basically anywhere in Edinburgh. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was worse than student accommodation, bits of wood screwed to the wall to cover up holes, the TV did not face into the room and it wasnt on a bracket to turn it. The bathroom decor was dreadful, hole and cracks in the walls poorly fitted sanitary ware.

Cheap but still not worth it

Easy to access with lockbox code.

Kettle was broken, bed was rock-hard, window didn't open, only a loud electric heater to heat to the room, no shower gel, tap water tasted metallic. Also no thumb lock on the door, which I believe is illegal and against fire safety regulations.
