The cottage was clean, well equipped in all aspects, with luxurious soft furnishings.
The kitchen had a fridge, a freezer, and a dishwasher. (Dishwasher tablets were supplied)
There was also a washer/dryer with washing liquid provided. Having the use of this was very handy.
The living room had a good sized TV, with lots of dvds, and a sound system. There was also a pack of cards and a backgammon set. The artificial wood burner actually looked like it was burning coal, and really did give out some warmth, not that it was needed as there was central heating, but it looked nice when switched on!
Upstairs, the bedroom was a very big size, and the bed was huge! Very comfy too. It was a comfortable room, with two chairs for you to sit with your morning drink, and wake up to the day, looking at the views across the fields. There was plenty of storage for clothes, and plenty of plug sockets for charging appliances.
The en-suite bathroom had a large vanity sink and cabinet above, which lit up with a swipe of the hand! Complimentary shampoo and conditioner were provided, and they left my hair smelling great and feeling light
The bath had a shower over, and a separate rinsing shower which was really useful.
The whole property had quality touches and finishes, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
There were walks right from the doorstep, across to the neighbouring village of Cartmel, which houses shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a racecourse. The local shop is a must for your sticky toffee pudding, which is very popular.
The location of the cottage is fantastic for a trip to Grange-over-Sands, which offers a good range of shops, small supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, cafes and various other shops, along with gardens with lots of birds to see. The promenade provides views to Morecambe bay on a good day.
