I probably wont use mama shelter again.

Great location

Toilet & shower were dirty when we arrived. I let reception know but nothing was done about this in our 2 night stay. A hotel toilet & shower should not be dirty!

Superb

The staff were friendly and very helpful with what to do around the city with good tips. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. They have a good breakfast in the morning with a lot of variety.

Couldn't get a coffee as the restaurant was fully booked even tho we were guests and there's no coffee machine in the room which made it inconvenient.

The staff! They were absolutely amazing. We had an issue with our car whilst there and they went above and beyond to help. A1 for service

No comfy reception / relaxing areas to sit other than the bar which was booked out due to popularity

Great location, clean and cosy rooms.

Very noisy during our stay - a loud late-night party with squealing girls did not make for a good night's sleep.

Cool Hotel with Fun Vibes

The location is perfect, you can walk from the hotel to explore the city. The vibe was cool and it was fun to play the arcade games!

The breakfast was good but could be better just by adding simple things like tomatoes and cucumbers.

Horrible experience. Don't bring children.

Close to the station, funky furniture

If you want to try sleeping in a loud and slightly sleezy night club with funky furniture, this is your place. If not, or if you are traveling with children, best to stay away. Especially on weekends. It's not for you. Wish we knew. I am still trying to get my money back... There was a very loud dance party going on in reception area and bar, no sleep in first floor rooms possible. It was like arriving with children and luggage in a loud and slightly sleezy night club, bouncer and everything. First guy K at the reception was rude, unprofessional and unhelpful, just chewing gum and smirking slopped on his chair, saying there was nothing to be done, and then continued to slouch around and oggle the partygoers. His colleague was friendly and more like someone working at a hotel reception, but they couldn't refund or cancel the booking even if they agreed we couldn't check in with the children because of this party we weren't told about. We had a horrible night and had to change hotels with the children after midnight.

Nice stay but corporate policies need attention.

Plenty of parking space; Superb breakfast buffet; Easy walking distance from centre and itself in one of the self-guided walks around Lille book we got from tourist office - albeit for modern architecture (lots of bare concrete, including in your room).

I really did not like, on arrival, to be asked for credit card authorisation well beyond the cost of my stay. On enquiring about this i was told it was in case I ate in their restaurant and then skipped paying for everything. Needless to say I was not tempted to then eat in their restaurant. Then on departure I was not given an itemised bill, until I requested a breakdown of the sum I was being asked to pay.
