This location is not ideal for a honeymoon or those who aren't enthusiastic about camping or "glamping". My experience here had several drawbacks that weren't highlighted in previous reviews. Firstly, the tent lacks privacy and is smaller than it appears in the photographs. It's situated in an area with frequent foot traffic, both day and night, allowing passersby clear visibility inside. It's important to note that the tent, being traditional, lacks power outlets, a detail not mentioned in the main description. This means limited options for using electronic devices, with phone charging being the only feasible option.
Secondly, the presence of wild animals, particularly possums, around the tent can be disconcerting. Despite being warned the night before to keep food in our cars, we experienced a disturbing incident with possums fighting on our patio at 3 am, causing considerable noise and shaking the tent, which was quite frightening and disrupted our sleep for over an hour.
While the restaurant offers excellent food, the menu is repeated for two consecutive nights, limiting dining options. Additionally, service can be slow; we experienced a 45-minute wait for bread and butter, although the staff graciously offered a discount on our bottle due to this delay.
Overall, considering the high cost, the experience fell short of expectations, particularly in terms of comfort and convenience.
