Not recommended whatsoever

I have stayed in Scandic Oslo and Copenhagen. As someone who follows a special diet (vegan) the spread here was the best! Loads of vegan options to choose from. The location is great. Walking distance from where all activities begin.

The staff: from the check-in the staff was rude and unfriendly. We are a family of 4 and were given a room with an accessible toilet. While other rooms had toilets with a heated flooring ours was cold! When I asked to be moved to a regular room I was threatened with a downgrade! They had a free self-serve free laundry and the dryer stopped working when I tried to use it! They staff had no clue on how to fix it and did not offer any helpful solution on what I could do with my wet laundry! Rooms have no telephone where you could contact the reception. You need to walk down for any issue that you face. Room cleaning is well below average. Staff is u fulfil when you ask for suggestions of what to do around the area. I would not recommend Scandic to anyone !!

Location is great and very nice breakfast

We arrived to the hotel very late as our flight was delayed and when we arrived to check in the hotel it was overbooked as there was no room for us, the receptionist managed to book us a nice bedroom in the hotel next to it free of charge for us, then on the next day they accommodated us in our bedroom for the reaming five nights we booked at the Scandic grand hotel, they also compensated us with a couple of nice food vouchers

Reindeer Country

The breakfast buffet had a great selection, and there were staff around topping up the buffet and clearing tables continuously. The hotel is in a great central location for tourists.

The bathroom was small. I am tall, and the legroom for the toilet was very limited (knees literally touching the wall) . I know that Tromso is a tourist trap, but I thought the hotel was expensive when compared with other cities in Norway.
