Quaint and comfy, but needs some TLC.

location - very near all of the restaurants, shopping and other attractions in Palm Desert. The large couch that fit all 3 of us lounging was dreamy. The kitchen, while dated, was equipped with everything the gourmet cook and baker could want.

The decor, while charming (based off of the 70s John Denver tune, Sunshine on my Shoulders) was very pink, even most of the dishes. There werent any instructions on how to use the Amazon/Alexa-based TV and entertainment system, so streamed over our phones. that system appeared to have surveillance capabilities, and together with the ring motion sensor and likely camera combo, was creepy because we didnt know if it was recording our moves and images. This should all be disclosed to visitors. Shag area rugs throughout were not clean and had lots of human hairs in them. The outside patio umbrella did not work. there were some large stains on the wall-to-wall carpeted areas. The blinds in the middle portion of the window in the kitchen were not operable. One of the sinks in the second bathroom had a non-functioning drain. Both of the neighbors on either side were engaged in construction activities over the week, so there was some noise as well as roof activity over most of the days of our stay.
