    Very nice stay but felt a bit of burden at the end of a busy period.Maybe just bite the bullet and close for a few days
    Boutique style rooms in a pub with loads of character. Very comfy bed with good quality linen
    No one available to check us in for 10 mins on arrival. Obviously a very busy period but we seemed a bit of a hindrance! Bar closed at 8pm which we werent advised of in advance. Arrived for breakfast at 8.30 as advised and all doors were locked and took another 10 mins for the chef to eventually let us in. Im guessing just understaffed as the staff that were working were very professional

    The pub was very cosy and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food and drink were fabulous
    The room was a little cramped and there was no where to sit, other than on the bed to watch TV. The bedroom was overlooked by the Beer garden where people came to smoke. The light voile blind didnt provide the privacy needed.

    Lovely night away for my husbands birthday. The room was really lovely and the meal was beautiful.

    A wonderful place to visit for a short stay - would highly recommend and definitely return.
    Very clean, warm with very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was exceptional. Great place to visit with a dog.

    Apparently the change in closing times was because it was between Christmas and New Year. I would s.
    The room was bordering on luxurious, well designed. The whole premises was olde world.
    We should have been told that the bar was shutting early. I have never been in an hotel where Ive had to go to bed at 8.30pm because the hotel was closing for the night. I did wonder if I was in an hotel or a retreat.

    really great place to meet friends- I would come back.
    Breakfast was good . Cooked breakfast very good. service was really good all the staff were helpful and went the extra mile. The rooms were very nice and the atmosphere perfect.
    I would have liked some fruit either dried or fresh with breakfast. ~We were there at a funny time- betwixt xmas- so the dinner time was early and bar closed early.

    The bedrooms are decorated beautifully and the shower was amazing!! Bed was so comfortable. We went into the bar for a drink that evening and again I just loved the decor and the vibe. They had an open fire too. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Honestly couldnt find one fault. Such a lovely cosy country pub. Thank you!

    We liked everything about the Horse & Groom . The food was excellent , both dinner & breakfast . The staff were really accommodating & friendly & the place was really stylish; everything great quality . Cant recommend enough & would nt hesitate to go back if in the area
