Hotel Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi is a beautiful resort located on a remote beach in Krabi. Despite the slight struggle to reach the resort, guests are transported to a tropical para (Read More)dise once inside. The service is super fast, especially room service. While the rooms may need some renovation, they are clean and spacious. The resort offers a variety of amenities such as a restaurant, bar, fitness center, family rooms, spa, and outdoor pool. Nearby activities include kayaking, island tours, and visiting an elephant sanctuary. The resort is safe and has nice walking trails. Overall, guests have a wonderful experience with breathtaking views, helpful staff, and delicious breakfast buffet.
The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Krabi within walking distance of restaurants and shopping areas. The room was a nice size and the beds were comfortable.
The breakfast lacked more healthy meal options. The staff were not very friendly. The big slide into the pool was out of order and the kids club was very small with limited options for the kids.

Great location and super friendly staff
The location was great. Ao Nang is a busy area for tourists and backpackers but this hotel is on the quieter side of the bay. Play provide lots of great entertainment (the three girl harmony band were amazing).
I always made an effort to make us feel very welcome and reception with very accommodating to any request we had. My highly recommend this location and this hotel. It was our first day at a Centara, I think we will use the brand again.

Rooms were modern and very clean, beds & pillows were very comfortable.
Great shower.
The public walkway through the front pool area was not good at all.
The beach in front of the hotel was so noisy due to the longtail boats going back and forth- this is not the fault of the hotel, but it is hard to relax.

Average experience in an overpriced hotel
The breakfast was fantastic and clean, and the hotel's location is spot on. Just a minute walk to the beach with available sunbeds. Evenings were enjoyable with live music, perfect for sunset moments with a beer. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was really comfortable.
Although unrelated to the hotel itself, the constant noise from the long-tail boats throughout the day made it difficult to fully enjoy and relax on the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was not as clean as expected, with beer cans and plastic bottles scattered arounda disappointing sight in such a beautiful place. The water outlet in the shower was poorly constructed, causing water to accumulate and create a puddle during showers.
Another notable issue was the lack of sound isolation in the rooms. Nightly disturbances from noises in the hallway or adjacent rooms disrupted our sleep, affecting the overall quality of our vacation. Despite booking an ocean-view room on the second floor, the view was limited due to trees and the hotel's amenities.
Additionally, communication with the staff proved challenging as they struggled with English. This language barrier created difficulties in addressing concerns or seeking assistance.

Very good
The room was very clean and well equipped. The pool was large and excellent for the children. The location by the beach was very good.
We booked as two adults and two children (aged 9 and 11). The room they gave us was actually a sofa bed and a queen sized bed, so three of us had to sleep in one bed, which was rather uncomfortable. It was not appropriate for children of 9 and 11, but I suppose would have been OK for toddlers.

Perfect place for family vacations in Ao Nang and Krabi, nice beach, well away from the main street noise
Really minor things, in the bathroom the little 2 centimeters step is too sharp and I hurt my foot on it, also we were missing a dryer on the terrasse (something where to put our wet clothes during the night so they dry)
