Switched my method of payment couple days before checking in. I had it authorized and a paper to prove which i showed at check in along with the new card. The lady at the front desk had me swipe it and everything so i had believed that they were going to charge everything to that card but they didnt, i had to ask them again the 2nd day to switch everything to that card. I had also chosen to pay at the property but was charged on the wrong card a day before i checked in for the first night, had no idea that was part of their policy. I asked them if this was a deposit basically and if so would i get refunded, they said no this is payment for the first night and looked at me like i was crazy for asking that. I had another charge from Marriott the day i checked in that seemed off too, i asked the front desk about it and was told it was not them who made that charge and to contact my bank. Contacted my bank and they said it was Marriott who made that charge. I went back down to the lobby and asked them to please print my folio and explain it to me. This new charge was not on it, only my charge for the first night and parking. The staff was not helpful whatsoever when trying to figure this out, no one could tell me what this charge was. which is concerning since it was a large amount. To top it all off, our ac broke in our room, front desk sent up maintenance to check it out. Turns out the whole unit needed to be replaced so they gave us a fan as the solution for the rest of our stay.
