    Enjoyed our stay overall.
    We stayed at Deewanji Ni Haveli 16-18 Dec 2023 (booking.com) It is located in the Old City which means the roads are very narrow and cant be accessed by car, which can be an issue if you have a lot of luggage. The property itself is extremely beautiful and well kept! Before you leave ask to see an interesting feature in the basement. The room was clean and spacious, they provide toilet paper but remember to place used toilet paper into the bin next to the toilet. We appreciated the shower cubicle as this is not common in India. The staff are helpful so be sure to ask them if you need any help. During the night we experienced lots of noise which is more a location issue than the actual accommodation issue. The breakfast was delicious. Be sure to go out and explore the Old City as many places are within walking distance.

    amazing stuff who were all very helpful, great atmosphere, it was reasonably quiet, fantastic room (I booked kings room), tasty breakfast the building itself swings in the inner courtyard
    The sheets could be fresher but that didn't bother me much. Not an issue but be advised that the windows don't have glass panes in them, the wooden shutters are doing a good job though.

    It was a fun ride, with it's fair share of drawbacks and disappointments
    Loved the fact that it's close to Manek Chowk, even though immediate locality is far from appealing. The property has an authentic old school charm and loved the common areas and the complimentary breakfast. Pretty cool that they have their own mini stepwell.
    Property is not for the faint hearted. While it did make good on it's promise of offering a slice of heritage, at times it has a way of taking you back in time...and not in a nice way. Some of the amenities on offer failed to meet one's expectations considering the price point. Difficult to get an auto or cab driver to drop you off becauase of the narrow roads leading up to the hotel, and they don't have a board or the like to indentify the property. The flush wasn't working most of the time and while the washrooms and fittings were decent, the plumbing is deplorable throughout. Water pressure was pretty bad, and standing under the shower, one gets to learn about a true sine wave, with the water pressure fluctuating in perfect sync. Found it impossible to lock doors too

    Very nice stay in a classic haveli
    The building is beautiful! It feels so special to be a part of the history. The staff were very kind and the breakfast was delicious.
    We did not have hot water in our room. Be warned its not accessible for people with disabilities and the location requires you to walk about a half mile to get to a car or a little shorter for a tuktuk.
