    I know I was informed the elevator was down. The bar was closed. Also my friend lost a family member and I wasnt in a good place. I asked to stay longer I didnt get an empathetic response to this.

    The hotel location was great, it is very central and within walking distance of the Quayside, Central Station and Eldon Square - lots of bars, restaurants and cafes on Grey Street. The rooms were clean and well laid out with nice decor. The hotel has great facilities and the breakfast was very good, although it has to be paid for. The staff were friendly and helpful.
    The location is very noisy. It is in the middle of Newcastle and next to bars and restaurants. I stayed on New Year's Eve, so it might have been noisier than usual, but it was still lively. The bed was quite small, only a Queen Size in the double room.

    The welcome, the bar/restaurant, room and staff. Location also.
    Walls seemed fairly thin and being on first floor at front of hotel you can hear all of the noise from the bar terrace beneath and all the street noise. Some ear defenders in the room would have been a nice addition

    Festive stay to visit family and for Theatre Royal Pantomime.
    Lovely friendly staff, great location for the Theatre Royal (we went to the Pantomime). Stunning decor throughout, so picturesque and on trend! Plus, delicious choices and well presented food at breakfast.
    Lift broke, couldn't be helped but one of our guests has knee/mobility issues so all the stairs (and also within the rooms too) was an issue for her. If heated towel rails in bathrooms deliberately don't work please add a sign to tell guests. More attention to detail is needed with the polishing/dusting and maintenance for a 4 star hotel. Our bathroom sink was cracked and the mirror had blemishes where it was attached to the wall. Bedroom furniture was definitely not polished or dusted.
