    The Holiday Inn Express Southampton West, an IHG Hotel, is conveniently located off a roundabout with modern rooms and comfortable king-size beds. The shower is powerful and clean, and breakfast offe (Read More)rs a variety of options. However, the hotel is near a building site, limiting nearby activities. Some guests found the breakfast average, but enjoyed being able to eat takeaway in the bar. Customer service is excellent, though the hotel's location is isolated with ongoing construction.

    Fab staff, bed sheets are like paper
    Staff was fab! Hotel was clean, room was tidy a bit confusing with the lights but staff helped to show how to operate the room.
    Beds wasn't comfy, the pull out was broke. the sheets oh my god those paper like bed sheets was horrible! Everytime my 10yo moved you would wake up. We was stuck between two families with children under age of 5 so we got woken by them during the night. My drive back north was horrible due to lack of sleep. The parking for disabled was shocking one car had displayed a badge and vans took the other spots so for someone with a 79year old elder that's disabled it was frustrating to see. But those bed sheets are your worse enemy and those broken pull outs.

    Good room,comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was average,concerning there was this fire alarm that brought us all out at 3:35 in the New Year morning,the staff tried their best.
    The hotel needs to firmly advise visitors No smoking in the premises,which was the most likely cause of the fire alarm this very early morning.

    Helped us enjoy our Christmas
    The whole experience over the festive period was outstanding. The staff had given up there own valuable time at Christmas to ensure we were well looked after in every department. Breakfast was fully catered for and even witnessed a few awkward / needy customers request additional items, which was no bother to them. They worked with the spirit of the period and were happy and content.
    Nothing really. Not one thing I could be unhappy about

    Very professional staff in a crisis situation.
    Lovely staff .. we had to evacuate the hotel in the middle of the night due to a fire and the staff were fabulous especially as there were no many rude people staying there!

    Friedly staff
    Breakfast, very little choice, a lot of choice wasn't available, e.g eggs. Very uncomfortable pull out bed, head was sitting lower than rest of the body. Half of the lights wasn't working in the room, no toilet brush. Fire alarm at 4am, fire in one of the rooms, that wasn't dealt very well with, but you can't help with this kind of situation.
