    The room was beautiful, with a nice little balcony. The proximity to the market and city centre was a huge draw. The staff were courteous and sweet. The manager excellent, friendly, and a terrific musician. We ended up jamming one evening. I looooved my stay here.

    It served its purpose.
    The experience was okay but I dont think it deserved the high rating it received.
    The photos made it look better than it was. I dont recall anything about three flights of stairs to get to the room.

    Relaxing Christmas stay in a central boutique hotel
    Very spacious and clean room and bathroom (with good towels), reception staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. 2 bottles of water left outside door every day was nice as was coffee/tea making facilities in the room and a small fridge A little gift for Christmas Day breakfast was a nice touch. You get very used to the location after a day and realise it is very central (but note you may have to direct Tuk Tuks who get a little lost) it was nice to be able to sit up on the roof (sofa side not pool side) and relax for a bit in the evening. The breakfast was sufficient to start the day off and I liked that it was served in the small outside area with.

    Mornings showers both days I stayed were luke warm. def. acted as a morning wake up:) however the evening shower was hot. The spare bed/furniture left in the hallway on my floor was a bit unsightly. WiFi was very intermittent I had to use sim data instead Plain hallways for a boutique hotel, Maybe one or two Sri Lankan artwork/carvings on hallways would be a nice touch The levelled roof space and pool side seating had most of furniture packed away so didnt look like pictures. (Maybe time of year and lack of usage).

    The location was great. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean but a bit stuffy. Everything was neat and tidy and comfortable.
    This is NOT a boutique hotel. It's a cramped set of rooms and there is no outdoor space. Breakfast is served in a tiny passageway. It's clean. But it's not as advertised and too expensive for basic facilities.
