    Great location - next to Galleries Lafayette and very near the Notre Dame and within walking distance of the Notre Dame and Petit France area. Breakfast had a good spread too.

    Five star room price and you get a cold shower
    The hotel has a good location. The restaurant/bar is very good. The hotel is nice decorated. Breakfast is very good.
    All rooms we had in the 2nd floor had a hot water problem. There is not sufficient pressure and the water is not hot when you take a shower. This is a known problem. If you are beside a family room, you will hear everything. Bad isolation. Our check in (9 people) lasted 90 minutes.

    Access is appalling Absolutely no indication that our hire car was unable to enter the Centre As a consequence with no mobile reception my wife who has significant mobility problems was forced to walk on cobbled road in pouring rain pulling our luggage

    Getting into the City we a problem because they make the city mostly, pedestrian

    Not a 5 star experience at all, especially in the chaotic reception
    Housekeeping was excellent, helpful, friendly and kept the room spotless. TV in room had subscription sports channels available, which is unusual and pleasant. Bed was very comfortable.
    The reception area is a fiasco and shameful for a 5* Hotel. Despite two emails assuring us they would do their utmost to get us an early check-in, they made no effort whatsoever and we were kept waiting 5 hours until exactly 4pm. We were not alone, as we sat watching guest after guest queue at reception only to be told their room wasn't ready, even people with small children. We spoke to others who said they were shouted at by receptionists and we saw several arguments. Every day the reception was packed with tired and frazzled people made to wait. The only people we saw getting checked in straight away were French, not sure if it was a coincidence or whether foreigners are de-prioritised. Understand it's a busy time but don't say "Please do not hesitate to let us know your estimated time of arrival and we will do our best to prepare it" if you have no intention of doing so. Or at the very least, as proper 5* hotels do, invite the people to the bar and give them a complimentary drink and snacks whilst waiting. We felt like herded cattle. When we were finally put in our 500 a night room it overlooked the dustbins and had a ridiculous toilet cubicle that was so small you had to leave the door open to stand up and turn around. Simply put, this was by no means the worst hotel we ever stayed in but probably the worst 5* and definitely the worst reception.

    Beautiful French hotel with old-world charm but modern efficiencies.
    Perfect location across from the Xmas market in the "Old Town". Room spacious and comfortable. Dinner - absolutely divine - the best duck yet! And super-efficient and friendly staff.
