    Really lovely place to stay.
    My room was clean and comfortable. The night manager was very helpful when I had a problem. All the staff were welcoming, polite and knowledgeable.

    Room not convenient location for 2 elderly people. Either very long walk or up and down stairs carrying luggage. Breakfast food not hot so very disappointing.

    Reception staff not very welcoming Didnt tell us about not paying for car park until we were discussing how to pay after checking car in on the screen Left a phone charger in room 164 and despite ringing hotel no one got back to me as my son lives in daventry and could have popped to pick it up( my fault i know but no feedback on query) Receptionist was ages checking us in trying to locate a twin room....this is our second visit and same thing happened last time despite booking in advance fot a twin. She had to ring someone else to find one.

    Friendly staff, but every time,there is a problem with incorrect type of beds and breakfast.
    Breakfast was nice . Good variation. Nice smelling soap. Decor nice.
    Requested not to have a sofa bed, as uncomfortable and squeaky . Waking other people in room with every turn , but again given a sofabed, rather than single. Again not on the breakfast list, despite double checking at check in, the previous evening. Reception had to confirm with the restaurant we should be on the list. 4 Cards for the rooms locked us out . When checking the children were ok in their room So had to walk back to reception to arrange. Requested the key for the childrens interconnecting room. as locked by a traditional key . But never arrived to use. 5 guests but only 4 dressing gowns . 5 guests but only 3 towel sets. Two large Spiders in the bedroom and bathroom of master room. A babies cot set up in master bedroom . Not requested and restricted space. This could be upsetting to someone who has miscarried .
