BUYER BEWARE! We had an issue checking into this Motel 6 this past Saturday evening, 10/14/2023. My wife and I had a reservation for a King Room, and I called Saturday early afternoon to confirm that they had our reservation and to inform them that we would need late check-in as we were traveling from out of town. The front desk confirmed they had our reservation and assured me our room would be ready for us.
However, when we arrived at 10:30pm that evening we were given a Queen Room instead of a King Room. When we pointed this out to the front desk and requested that they rectify the mistake, we were informed that they did not have any King Rooms available. We were also told that if we did not like the Queen Room that we could get a refund and go find another hotel to stay at. This response (and situation) was completely unacceptable as finding another hotel that late at night after driving all day, and having to be up early in the morning, was not an option. We then requested that the hotel manager be contacted to let him know that we were being forced stay in a Queen Room even though our reservation was for a King Room, and as a result we were respectively requesting that the room be comped. The answer we got...NO!
Any hotel that cannot guarantee a reservation, and then at the same time is not willing to comp the room, is not a hotel anyone should ever choose to stay at.
Also, they do not provide coffee in the evening only in the morning, which I guess is not a big deal as their coffee tastes like mud!
