it was ok but hotel seems to be falling apart - e.g. gym/elevators/pool area.
2 elevators seemed to be out of service. they never opened. the other 2 were slow. 2 days of our 4 day stay an elevator broke/alarm went off. Hot Tub was "closed" all 4 days. Pool wasn't that warm. Roof of gym flooded and tiles fell on floor.

Location was convenient.
We were roomed on the 3rd floor which really needs a deep cleaning and updating. Our room was very small.

8 minute walk to downtown restaurants but not the best stay
The receptionist was very nice at check in.
The bed sheets looked old & dirty. They had like a yellowish look to it. I didnt feel comfortable sleeping on that bed. Tried breakfast and it was not good, the pancakes were cold, not many healthy options. I only had fruit bc everything else didnt look good. It is close to a lot of restaurants (downtown so limited parking) gps shows 8 minute walk to the restaurants.

Overall our stay was nice.
The room was clean and well stocked. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. We realized we had to get there close to opening in order to get decent food. If the food was prepared by the cook ie: omelet it was very good. I was happy that we could walk to a couple of local restaurants for dinner. We also enjoyed the Thomas Wolfe museum which was across the street.
I didn't realize I had to pay extra for parking, so that was a surprise. I may have overlooked the fine print regarding parking. I was looking forward to using the pool but the water was too cool and the jets weren't working in the hot tub. Honestly, that was why I chose this hotel, so was disappointed that I couldn't enjoy them.
