A couple stayed at The White House for a night during their honeymoon, enjoying the close proximity to central Bowness and the convenience of nearby parking for multi-night stays. They found the room (Read More) beautiful with nice decor, a spacious wetroom, comfortable king-sized bed, and a welcoming touch with the radio playing upon arrival. With the above in mind we wouldnt recommend this property, I booked this a whole year in advance and was really wanting

Bed was lovely and comfortable, you couldnt fault the cleanliness and the look of the room

We stayed in room 9 which unfortunately was underneath room 10 - you could hear absolutely everything and the couple in room 10 stayed up until 4am one evening playing music extremely loud. There was no reception to call and the whole thing was very frustrating!

All in all a beautiful and clean place to stay in a great location

The best location and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable

We were in the de luxe suite and the only niggle we had was that in the bathroom the only place to put your toiletries bag was on the windowsill, after we had showered the bag was drenched from the spray, maybe a shelf next to the sink would be good, also the fan in the bathroom didnt work.

Superb

Great Location. Quiet, Safe, Close to the Pub. Worth Coming Here.

The house was conveniently located within walking distance of everything we wanted. We especially loved that the neighborhood was both quiet and safe, and that the nearest pub was only 1 minute away. The room was spacious and we loved the decor. The bed was super comfy too. We slept really well.

It was strange not having a reception area to go to, but having someone to talk to over the phone was perfectly okay. It just took us a minute to get used to it. Also, the shower pressure was great, but knowing where to point the shower head before turning it on was essential due to no shower curtain. So, the first time we used the shower, we got everything wet, but the second time onward was much better. One other weird thing was the parking. Due to no parking around the house, we had to park in the city's public parking and pay for overnight parking. It wasn't expensive at all and it seemed like many people did it all the time. So it turned out not to be a big deal, especially since it was close to the hotel. Now that we knew all these quirky things about it, we would definitely stay here again.
