Lovely Christmas at the Windmill
What a warm and cozy stay in the windmill for Christmas. Comfortable sofa and bed, and all the basics anyone would need for self catering. It was a nice bonus to find a Christmas tree and bucks fizz waiting. The suite itself was larger inside than I expected it to be. Tasteful decor. We turned up with no expectations (having never stayed in a windmill before) and had a relaxing few days. I was dreading Christmas this year, having recently lost our much loved dog, but the distraction and delights of Scarborough turned out to be a blessing. We continued the second half of our trip to York, and where we loved the city itself, we both longed for the Windmill again and wished we had booked for longer. I hope to revisit in the summer.

This place is absolutely gorgeous its like going back in time.
This place is excellent. The building itself is full of character and the furnishings make it a home from home. Location is also excellent with lots of places to eat or the town centre only a short walk away. Well definitely be back to stay again.

Beautiful place very well kept very welcoming staff that are more than happy to help we will be booking again but to stay in the actual light house for a proper experience
Walls are very thin and you can hear the people talking in the next room The king bed has a very hard mattress .you have to read the description in full it's called the lighthouse we assumed we would be staying in a lighthouse not a side room we got caught up in the add and the fact it was a lighthouse I must add this wasn't down to the host read in full next time I suppose we learnt a lesson don't judge a book by it's cover

Andy the owner was very easy to get on with and made my stay very welcoming. Never got to meet his wife. But truky a great experiance. Hopefully get to take them both out for some food next time i book. From ariving to leaving everything was perfect, slept really well . Lovely experiance
