The ring road to get anywhere was abit annoying as one way but ok for a few days

main reception was lovely, the staff very good, was excited that i got a lodge by the golf course but disappointing when opening the door.
tea and coffee in the room a bonus.
room clean bed lovely and comfy.
great price.
room very cold, small electric heater on wall by the door that went off when door was opened. shower luke warm just not hot.. no bath mat in the bath was very slippy.
had to get out of bed to switch lights off before bed, lights werent working by the bed.
room very noisy attached to another lodge could hears the couples conversation word for word next door until 1am.
nearly took the roof off my land rover getting into the car park, height restriction very low..

Breakfasts were amazing, and staff really kind and helpful when our little girl was a bit poorly. The rooms were comfy and warm although the radiator was broken in one so it took a while to heat up.
Walls not well sound proofed, and in one the radiator wasn't working.
Pool changing rooms a bit cramped and pool was colder than usual due to a refill.

Swimming pool and spa we're freezing, and they only decided to add hot water when people kept getting out.

Generally the stay was great. The hotel creates an atmosphere that is quiet and pleasant.
Breakfast was great but could do with a bit more variety in the continental side.
As for the spa facilities, the steam room wasnt working properly. Was in there for 30mins and the steam turned on only once.
It was a waste of time as this was the reason I chose this hotel.

We had a dog with us however we werent told until arrival the dog couldnt go anywhere other than our room, so not in the restaurant or bar and there was nowhere to eat breakfast with her other than getting room service. We werent asked what we wanted for the hot breakfast when served in the restaurant, but just given a full English, including the kids. We paid over 25 for 2 people to have breakfast in the room but there was only 1 egg and 1 plain omelette. Not satisfactory. Coffee and tea was cold. The trays were not collected or removed from the rooms, despite them being cleaned that day. The rooms were also quite dated.
