    Great place to stay, nice location and homely atmosphere
    Good location and friendly staff. We went during a quiet time so had quick service and good selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Food was good quality. This would be a great venue for larger family reunions or group events as there is a good choice of accommodation in pleasant surroundings.
    The property is not well insulated due to age so despite heating being on high, the room was cold in places and there was condensation on windows and external walls.

    The property was not properly cleaned through out. Scale in the bathroom, plates, cutlery well cleaned. The lodge was fairly grotty, could tell the basic hoover and change beds and had been done

    Potential to be excellent
    The location and lodge was beautiful and definitely worth the money. Very good for large groups and families. You can make your own breakfast in the lodge so no need to wake up early. It has a sauna too so you can relax at the end of the day.
    following problems: -no signal in the area so you have to use hotel Wi-Fi which they charge you 5 a day for - the lodge smells funky, a little Like pesticides, it was unbearable so the window and door were open. - the master bedroom was extremely small and the bed was too high of the ground, has a very uncomfortable sleep.

    We booked the hotel but were offered a lodge instead - breakfast was excluded from the upgrade. Ideally located for what we wanted, easy to travel to other parts of the lakes
