Bali is famous for mainly three river rafting sites. Ayung River Rafting, Telaga Waja Rafting and Melangit River Rafting
1. Rafting at Ayung River
The Ayung River rafting in Ubud, Bali is one of the most challenging rafting sites in Bali. With the stable water conditions all through the year it is suitable for beginners as well as people with advanced rafting experience. It is a 12kms long rafting track and takes about 2.5 hours to finish. In the ride you will come across rainforests, rice fields, stone carvings on the river walls and hidden waterfalls.
It costs around IDR 220,000 for adults between 13-65 years of age and IDR 200,000 for kids between 6-12 years of age, this price includes transportation, locker for your luggage, rafting equipment, professional guide, water resistant bags to keep your valuables, changing facilities, lunch and insurance. There are two sessions available, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, you can choose based on your convenience.
You would be required to bring, change of clothes, river shoes, sunscreen and a waterproof camera. Minimum booking is for 2 persons for single booking there might be an additional charge of IDR 250.000, by certain operators.

Safety tips- The elderly are recommended not to take up rafting and the routes might be difficult to walk, the same is applicable for people with heart, lung or back problems.

2. Rafting at Telaga Waja River
Next up is the Telaga Waja River is a famous whitewater rafting spot in Bali, about 17kms long rafting track it takes about 3hours to complete the trip. While your rafting you can see the beautiful valleys, green fields and waterfalls. There is not much of walking required at all the restaurants are easily accessible.
The prices are, Rp.220,000 for adults between 13-65 years of age and Rp.200,000 for kids between the age of 6-12 years of age, which includes transportation, complete rafting equipment, professional guide, water resistant bags, lunch, complete changing facilities, government tax and insurance.
There are both morning and afternoon sessions available, but for the afternoon session minimum of 4 participants are required.

3. Rafting at Melangit River
Melangit River in Klungkung is an 8kms long rafting track and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. While rafting you will be able to see the scenic beauty of the tropical rainforests, natural stone structure on the river walls and the wild animals by the river bank. The ride is suitable for all and has many rapid drops which makes the ride really adventurous and exciting.
The rates are Rp. 220,000 for adults ( 13 years and above) and Rp. 200,000 for kids ( 6-12 years of age), which includes transportation, welcome drink, locker facilities, rafting equipment, professional guide, water resistant bag, changing facilities, buffet lunch, government tax and insurance ( 7-60 years of age). There are two sessions, morning and afternoon and for the afternoon session a minimum of 4 participants are required. The minimum booking is 2 persons, and for single booking there is an extra charge of IDR 250,000. You are required to bring changing clothes, river shoes or sandals, sunscreen and waterproof camera. For some operators an extra charge would be added on card payments. So it is advisable to make a proper check based on your preference and then choose the best operator.
