Who is Behind the Journey?
Taylor hails from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and acquired an Economics and Public Policy degree from Vanderbilt University but soon she found out that it wasn't her passion. So, she decided on trying her hands-on travel and adventure. The realisation dawned upon her after she was done interning at New York Wall Street. Her journey was inspired by Cassie DePecol's 2018 record of 1 year 194 days. She started the journey on June 1, 2017, just two weeks after her semester came to an end.
Also, a long time back when she was studying at University College London, she took four months out to travel 20 countries of Europe. She wanted to break Europe travel records and break her confined lifestyle.
The Incredible Tale
As she embarked on the journey, her first choice was to visit Latin America and the Caribbean countries and so she started with the Dominican Republic. She moved from Alabama to Texas for having accessible international flights. Though she was not sure of getting the visas on time, that never stopped her. Amidst her travel, her rule was never to take a gap of more than 14 days as that will help in maintaining a good pace. She also tried to spend at least one day in the country she was visiting.View this post on InstagramI visited the Equator today and it was so cool! The whole area is surrounded by beautiful landscape and there is so much to do. There were lots of interesting exhibits, cultural performances, and even llamas! While the area was definitely touristy, if you ever find yourself in Ecuador it is worth the visit. Side note, I have now been to both Latitude 0° (the Equator) and Longitude 0° (in London)! Blog is a little behind but will be posted in the next day or so.⠀ Country 24/197

I had a great time just walking around Paris this morning before my flight home and it was magical happening upon a violin and cello performance of Beauty and the Beast in the Louvre buildings! You can watch it at the link in my bio. Also, I love my @koiocollective sneakers! They are such high quality and I've loved walking all over Paris and Europe in them. I couldn't have picked a better country to rest and relax for a few days in between major trips. The weather was perfect, the beaches were beautiful, and I'm so glad to have finally visited this perfect island chain so close to home. Day three featured quite the entertaining ordeal of watching a crane eat an entire snake whole. Twice. It was crazy! Read more at the link in my bio.â € Country 79/197
