1. Vinpearl Land Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc is in itself a beautiful island. Vinpearl Land amusement park only adds the fun element to this naturally endowed island. Situated only 20 minutes away from the Ong Lang Beach, this amusement park contains several sections including an aquarium, outdoor water park, indoor and outdoor gaming arcades and a shopping avenue. The indoor gaming arcade has about 120 games and the amphitheatre puts up light, music and water acrobatics shows.
The best part about Vinpearl land is the water park which has some unique roller coaster rides and a man made beach. The dining options inside the park are also great with restaurants serving everything from authentic Vietnamese food to European and Asian buffets to fast food. The food however is a little expensive as is the case with all amusement parks. The park also has a souvenir shop and conducts activities like flash mobs, traditional dances, mermaid shows etc between 4:30 to 8:30 pm.
The tickets are priced at VND 500,000 for adults and VND 400,000 for children above the age of 1 and within 1.4 metres in height. The tickets for combo Vinpearl Land and Vinpearl Safari can be purchased at VND 800,000 and VND 650,000 for adults and kids respectively.
2. Sun World Ba Na Hills
About 20 km away from Da Nang downtown, Sun World Ba Na Hills resort is called ‘heaven on earth’ due to its extraordinary climate and breathtaking views. It has been accorded the Top Tourist Resort in Vietnam for four consecutive years. It has five cable car routes to enable smooth transport of visitors at a rate of 7000 passengers per hour.
A popular attraction here is the French Village which mimics the setting of ancient, peaceful France complete with the village square, chapels and churches, old houses and inns. The Golden Bridge which was inaugurated in 2018 is touted to be the world’s most impressive pedestrian bridge owing to its spectacular architecture. The resort also houses a vast indoor game zone with numerous games for adults and children alike, a fantasy park based on Jurassic Park and a wax museum. Food from different cuisines around the world are also available.
The Sun World park is open all days of the week from 7 am to 10 pm. The ticket fares are priced at VND 750,000 for adults and VND 600,000 for children below the height of 1.4 m.
3. Hoi An Impressions Theme Park
Hoi An was one of the busiest ports in Asia once upon a time and this theme park attempts to showcase the rich culture and lost glory of this town. Through its detailed architecture and entertaining shows, the park aims to educate people about the heritage of Hoi An.
The major attractions in this park include the model Japanese village where you can indulge in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, a Vietnamese Pagoda depicting the architectural marvels and the Love Bridge, a cultural and spiritual symbol of the Vietnam-China-Japan relations. There are various mini-shows which are held in this park such as Love Story of the Silkworm Goddess, Trai Ho fighting the tiger and the Champa Ritual to the God of Water. All of these shows are ways to engage the tourists in indigenous culture. Visitors can also take part in short classes on how to become a Ninja or making a Hoi An craft or pottery.
The Conical Hat restaurant offers a wide range of dining options from traditional Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines. You can also try some specialty Hoi An foods when you are here. The theme park is open on all days of the week except tuesdays. The tickets can be purchased at VND 100,000.
4. VinWonders Nha Trang
Nha Trang was once a prison island but this amusement park sure does replace the sober setting of the place and gives a fun-filled experience. One of the most popular amusement parks in Vietnam, this place is known for its large water park. It has unique and exciting water games such as the lazy lake, Family slide, Tsunami, Free fall, etc. In addition to that, the indoor and outdoor games arena has myriad options to choose from.
Other fun activities to look out for include the cable car trip, the musical water show, circus performances, visiting the shopping arena and much more. It would be great if you could spend the night here at the high-end resorts and enjoy your dinner sitting by the sea. There are a number of restaurants and street food vendors who serve delicious food of different cuisines.
The tickets are priced at VND 880,000 for adults and VND 700,000 for kids and senior citizens for a full round-trip with a cable car ride. The place is open from 8:30 am to 9 pm on all days of the week.
5. 100 Egg Theme Park
This place is one of a kind since it is not exactly a resort or an amusement park but is actually a wellness centre which both adults and kids can enjoy! Spread over 20 hectares, this theme park derives its name from its egg-shaped stations. The park also has banana and papaya trees along with other exotic flora which lighten the ambience.
The kids can enjoy their time in the park in the swimming pool or under the waterfall. The adults on the other hand can choose to spend time in the jacuzzi or an essential oil bath or a mud bath. The mud pools are supposed to help remove the toxins out of your body and give you better looking skin. You can choose the type of treatment you want from the wide range of services they offer. For a better experience, you can also avail the private egg-tub services and roam around the park after your treatment is done. There are lots of activities you can take part in with your family in the team-building area.
The park is open for visitors from 8 am to 7 pm everyday and visitors tend to spend around two and half hours at the park. The prices depend on the kind of package you wish to take up in the theme park.
6. Dam Sen Water Park
Dam Sen translates to ‘Lotus Pond’ and the Dam Sen Water Park is situated in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City making it easily accessible to tourists. The water park is located next to the Dam Sen cultural park and both the places are great recreation spots for adults and children alike.
The water park houses some very exciting rides and activities. If you are someone who is adventurous and seeks thrill, you must definitely hop on to the Kamikaze and the Flying fox rides. The park also has colourful children’s play areas and statues of elephants and hippos spouting water. It is equipped with enough safety measures and life-guards so you can enjoy your time without worrying. The cultural park houses a botanical garden, a butterfly park, roller coasters, monorail trains and much more.
The tickets to the water park cost about VND 140,000 for adults and VND 90,000 for kids which gets reduced to VND 120,000 and VND 80,000 respectively if you visit after 4 pm. The place is open on all days except Tuesdays from 9 am to 6 pm. The tickets to the cultural park are to be bought separately.
7. Suoi Tien Amusement Park
Suoi Tien is also known as the weirdest amusement park in all of Asia and that is because it was designed keeping the Vietnamese crowd in mind. This amusement park has sculptures and activities based on ancient Vietnamese and Buddhist legends and myths. There are scores of rides and roller coasters, but what sets apart Suoi Tien is its massive sculptures.
There are several temples within the park such as the Long Hoa Thien Bao Pagoda, the Hung Kings temple and the Dragon Head temple where visitors can pray, light incense or just take selfies inside. The Zodiac Palace is another popular attraction which houses massive animal sculptures representing the 12 zodiac signs. There are other various sculptures of the Buddha, the Turtle God, historical and mythological creatures. Other things to look out for are the roller coasters, haunted houses and water parks, ziplines, carnival games and junk food.
The Suoi Tien park is open from 7 am to 11 pm on all days and the entrance ticket costs about VND 25,000. You might have to spend between VND 5,000 and VND 60,000 additionally for individual games.
8. Ho May Park
This park is located on the peak of Nui Lon of Vung Tau sea city. Visitors on their way to the park in cable cars are sure to get transported to a different world altogether on seeing the captivating scenery of the Nui Lon hills and the sight of the boats in the adjoining beach.
The entertainment area in the park offers a variety of high tech games in both indoor and the outdoor arena. The indoor arena has about 70 different games. There are also international magic shows and circus performances. The kids playground is sure to keep children entertained. The park is also known for having the first mountain top water park complete with exciting slides and water balloon fights. There are a few historical and cultural artefacts such as the Buddha statues and French bunkers that are of interest to tourists.
The park is open from 8 am to 10 pm for sightseeing, but is available for night stay in the resorts as well. The price for sightseeing is VND 100,000 for adults and VND 50,000 for children.
9. Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park
This park is known for the World’s longest cable car system and has been recognised by the Guinness World Records.
The major attraction is the Hon Thom Island itself which has beautiful and pristine beaches with coconut palms all around. Here, in the nature park, you can indulge in attractive underwater games such as the Floating House game. If you would like to enjoy some speed, you have to try the jetski. The Aquatopia water park has various slides and games designed according to international standards and is divided into six zones. Each zone has a unique theme and is fun to take part in. You can also enjoy musical shows and animal circus performances. The place offers delicious gourmet food as well.
The nature park is open from 8 am to 5:30 pm on all days of the week. Visitors are charged about VND 60,000 as admission tickets.
