Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21 days lockdown for India. The country is currently facing one of the most challenging situations ever such that keeping each other inspired and motivated is now our utmost priority. Let's tune into what other #TravellersAtHome are upto while enjoying their time off! @jovi_travel, an Instagram-popular travel couple by the name Vivian Velle and Johannes Richter from Germany left their lucrative careers in law and finance to jumpstart their true passion in 2018. They have now travelled to all over the world and were last visiting Mexico before the coronavirus threat paused their plans and brought them back home to rest. Under quarantine, Vivian and Johannes relate with their followers and the growing lull in all their lives as they all gather around their homes to move pass this enormous situation. In one of their recent Instagram posts, they both take to looking at the brighter side of it all.

They start off by mentioning, "It can be hard to imagine a silver lining to the all-consuming cloud that is the current and ongoing spread of Corona. Also being in quarantine and staying at home is surely not the nicest thing we could think of BUT it is necessary and definitely does come with a few great side effects!"

Frist of all they mention, "The environmental slowly but surely recovers: clearer air, cleaner water, wildlife returns into its former habitats." This is proven true by the news coming in from Italy of cleaner canals and from China of lesser pollution and even from Mumbai of dolphins rearing their heads out near the beaches.
Second positive effect they mention is, "Going through this crisis together kind of unites people worldwide - remember we’re all in this together." This reminds us of Ashley Tisdale aka Sharpay from High School Musical dancing on the catchy tunes of "We're All In This Together" on her Tiktok to keep up the spirits during these times.

The next effect they reflect on is, "Values like sense of community, being there for others, not only to do what’s good for yourself but rather to care about others’ needs as well gain importance." We have seen multiple videos of young people buying groceries for the elders, supermarkets opening up early only for elders, street animals are being taken care of by NGOs in India and so on. There's a lot of good to give around, especially now.

On a personal note, they touch upon this message, "People are forced to slow down and to also take care of themselves: listen to their bodies, get into a new or old healthy routine, do projects they wanted to do for years and learn new things they were always eager to learn." We are all looking into learning new skills, enjoying the time off by catching up on projects we kept putting off. Travellers at home have taken to uploading their earlier pictures, learning how to better use Photoshop, travel writing and many other interesting stuff.

Last but not the least, @jovi_travel mentions, "Most of us go through this with our families and spend more time with our loved ones than we have in years, so enjoy it!"
And enjoy we shall! Keep inside your homes unless necessary to venture out, wash your hands and focus on working on yourself and these 21 days will pass by just like this!
