Forests, Auroville Overview
Forests in and around Auroville are maintained by the Forest Group who are actively involved in restoring and protecting the biodiversity, conserving water, protecting the soil and educating locals on the environment. The forests expand over 70 acres of land that was neglected and left to erode till the group began restoration through sustainable energy to create a natural environment.
