The Flame Towers are a trio of distinctive flame-shaped skyscrapers that dominate the skyline of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Flame Towers are part of a larger commercial complex that includes hotel, and office spaces, contributing to the modern urban development of Baku. One of these three towers are entirely occupied by Fairmont, a luxury 5-star hotel located at the city centre.
These 28 to 33 storey towers are situated on a hill adjacent to Baku Boulevard, providing a commanding view of the Caspian Sea and the city. The towers are covered with LED screens and are especially dramatic at night when lighting systems illuminate them to create the effect of flames. The design of the Flame Towers is symbolic, representing ‘the land of fire’, a significant element in Azerbaijan's culture and history.
