Butterfly Park, known as Taman Kupu Kupu in the Indonesian language, is located in Tabanan Regency of Bali, Indonesia. It is renowned as the largest butterfly garden not only in Bali but also in Southeast Asia. For people interested in butterflies, this place provides a unique space for preserving and breeding butterflies and insects.
The Butterfly Park occupies an area of 3500 sq km., making it the biggest Southeast Asian butterfly park. The species of butterflies and other insects are collected from the Indonesian archipelago and kept in this park. This park has been attracting tourists for the thousand butterflies one can find here as well as students and national and international researchers for academic purposes. Visitors also have an opportunity to observe the stages of metamorphoses of various species carefully, i.e., from egg to larvae and pupae, to cocoon and finally as a grown butterfly.
