Romanov's Palace, also known as Likani Palace, is an architectural gem located in Likani, near Borjomi, Georgia. Although the palace is situated on the private grounds of the Borjomi Likani Resort & Spa Hotel and not open to the public, its historical significance and architectural beauty piques interest of those visiting the Borjomi area. Designed by renowned architect Leonti Benois, the palace was constructed between 1892 and 1895 to serve as a summer residence for Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia. Each side of the villa features distinct forms and shapes, enhancing its unique aesthetic appeal. Situated on the banks of the Mtkvari River, the palace's design aims to keep residents cool and dry, making it a comfortable retreat during the hot summer months. There are many items in the palace with historical significance including a historical table made by Pyotr the Great, a billiard table, and a Russian oven adorned with images of local wildlife. The central entrance is marked by a porcelain parrot that spins with air currents. The "butterfly" bedroom, painted with butterfly motifs, adds to the palace's charm.
