The Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami) of Bursa holds a significant history of the Islamic Ottoman Era. The mosque’s unique feature is its architecture. Ulu Cami has the world’s topmost calligraphy collection, with over 192 inscriptions on the walls, pillars and plates.
With 12 columns and 20 domes, a beautiful skylight dome is also inside. In addition, there are wooden fences, great candles, two minarets, white marble, a mihrab and a fountain, which adds an exotic effect. The mosque is in such well-maintained conditions that one will not believe it has been standing for more than 600 years.
