The Tophane Clock Tower is situated in Tophane Park, in an old citadel near the tombs of Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi. The tower can be seen from any point or place in the city. It displays a neoclassical style and has a dreamy golden view when lit at night.
Tophane Clock Tower was built during the 18th century but reconstructed in the 19th century. It is 33 metres tall with 6 floors. Next to it are four ‘guns’ that help indicate when to break fasts during the month of Ramadan.
