Abdeen Palace Museum was once the primary residence for Egypt's royal family, which is now, transformed into a museum. It showcases a captivating blend of royal artifacts, opulent furnishings, and precious artworks. It is located in Historic centre of Cairo in the neighborhood called Abdeen. Its gardens are worth visiting.
The museum's extensive collections feature a diverse array of artifacts, including royal regalia, ceremonial garments, antique furniture, rare manuscripts, and priceless artworks, providing insights into Egypt's royal legacy and cultural evolution. Guided tours and audio guides are available.
Abdeen Palace has two floors. The first one has special rooms for the royal family, while the ground floor has a beautiful garden and some interesting places like a pharmacy and a printing house. Inside, there are grand halls decorated in white, red, and green colors, where important guests were welcomed. The most impressive hall, called the Mohammad Ali Hall, is beautifully decorated with special writings and materials.
One of the most stunning parts of the palace is the Belgium suite, known for its unique style. It's named after the King of Belgium, who was the first to stay there. The palace is also famous for its mix of Italian, Turkish, and French designs, along with rare paintings and furniture decorated with gold.
