Based in the Adyar River in Chennai in Tamil Nadu, Quibble Island is the largest of the four tiny islands formed in the salt water lagoon. The island is famous for the large European cemetery situated in the centre. This cemetery is believed to have been built here after a battle was fought between French-led Indian soldiers and Nawab forces. Quibble Island abuts the southern stretch of Marina Beach. The tranquil place boasts of utter serenity along with the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shores.
