Hiking in Chiang Mai is a popular activity in the northern province of Thailand as it is bountiful in untouched vegetation, meandering rivers, waterfalls, flora, and fauna. The many trails range from easy to hard in terms of difficulty, and most of them can be undertaken throughout the year, barring a few open only during a particular season. Some popular hiking spots are Wat Pha Lat, Doi Suthep, Huay Tung Tao, and Doi Inthanon.
