Located about 42 miles from Chicago, Philips Park Zoo is situated in Aurora, Illinois. It opened with the focus of being home to exotic animals but now houses a wide variety of native animals too. It provides free of cost access to all visitors with the vision to provide a supportive learning environment through recreation and education to all.
Phillips Park Zoo has a wide variety of animals ranging from mammals like the American Elk, Gray Wolf, Mountain Lion, to reptiles like the Bull Snake, Burmese Python, Green Iguana, and many more. Then there also are birds like the Bald Eagle, Cooper’s Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, and the list goes on. The zoo also has an adoption program where one can help in providing professional care to the animal.
