Umiya Mataji Temple Chicago, Chicago Overview

The Umiya Mataji Temple is constructed in reverence to the goddess Umiya, known to be the universe's creator. Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Kali, and Saraswati are said to be the incarnation of Goddess Umiya. It is built by the UMSCM (UMIYA MATAJI SANSTHA CHICAGO MIDWEST), an organization that works for the peace and prosperity of the Kadva Patidar community.

There are over ten Umiya temple across the USA which have 1500 plus members. The temple celebrates some of the major Hindu festivals every year that include Holi, Diwali, Janmashtmi, etc. It also conducts prayer services for its devotees in the morning as well as in the evening.
