Located on Cinnamon Gardens, Cathedral of Christ The Living Saviour is the primary Anglican cathedral affiliated to the Church of Ceylon. Established in 1973 upon the decision to replace the old cathedral in Mutwal, the construction was initiated by Bishop Harold de Soysa, the first Ceylonese Bishop of Colombo and designed by P.H.Wilson peiris.
Consecrated on 7 November 1973, this Bishop seat of Colombo is now used for Ceylon’s major religious ceremonies.
