The Buddhist Temple of Dallas, also known as The Wat Buddha or The Buddhist center of Dallas was initiated in January of 1982 by 6 Buddhist monks from Thailand with unanimous support from the Thai Buddhist community of Texas. The temple offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and meditating. Talks on Dhamma, Kamma, and Sila are held at intervals. Amongst the locals, the temple is famed for its authentic Thai cuisine offered on the weekends.
