Possum Kingdom State Park is a 1,530-acre park situated in Palo Pinto County, in north Texas, offering several options for overnight lodging or camping. The lodge, cabins, developed and primitive campsites offer wonderful views of the water and come with facilities such as electricity, restrooms, showers, fire rings, picnic tables, lantern posts, water sources, refrigerators, air conditioning and much more.
The expanse of the Possum Kingdom Lake is great for fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, wakeboarding and more; there are rentals and a supply store on site. Lakeview Trail, Longhorn Trail and Chaparral Ridge Trail are a few of the trails meant for hiking and biking.
