The Trial Garden, as the name suggests, is an area within the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden that is created for plant-based researches. The main aim of the Trial Garden is to evaluate a variety of plants in the drastic climate of the Metroplex and North Central Texas.
The Trial Garden carries out experiments on over 3,000 to 5,000 plants every year. One can visit and learn how the plants survive extreme heat conditions and what they can do for their gardens too. The information gathered by the trials is also shared with commercial plant producers, retailers, and home gardeners.
