The first dog park built by the City of Dallas, Wagging Tail Dog Park is a 6.9-acre off-leash park for dogs in the northern part of Dallas. Dogs are allowed to be off the leash at the park, and the large and small dog areas are perfect for them to run around in. There is also a walking trail within the property for owners to walk their dogs.
There is a water fountain as well as drinking bowls available in the park for dogs (it is however advisable to carry water), along with a pet waste station. Wagging Tail Dog Park is a fenced area and has a designated area for picnics with its tables and benches. The Nature Observation Platform is a flagstone observation deck about 35 feet above the White Rock Creek that offers an excellent view of a waterfall. The park is closed on Mondays and on days it rains, and also has parking options for its visitors.
