Dooars in Winter (October - February)

October to February is winter season in Dooars when the mercury starts dipping and transforms the region into a delightful little winter paradise. This time around is considered to be the best time to visit Dooars since the monsoons have just about ended and the weather remains pleasantly cool during the day and cold in the night. As winter progresses, the lowest the temperature could hit is 0°C, especially in December and January. Otherwise, it hovers between 10°C and 23°C. The winter season is, therefore, the best time to explore the sanctuaries and enjoy the jungle safaris.

The famous Teesta Tea and Tourism Festival can also be witnessed during the time. It is celebrated between November and December as an independent tourism festival.
