I liked the stay and travel in Gangtok and Pelling...will recommend for beautiful stays and well planned itineraries! I didn't like the stay in Darjeeling...Darjeeling is not for tourists anymore as (Read More)it is very dirty and congested with traffic jams galore...not worth spending money on!

Places to Visit in Gangtok

This unique temple is dedicated to the memory of Harbhajan Singh, an Indian Army soldier who mysteriously disappeared while on duty in the harsh terrains of this region in 1968. Legends and beliefs have since woven a remarkable tale around him.

Tashi Viewpoint: Situated 8 km away from central Gangtok, Tashi Viewpoint is a scenic beauty from where travellers can get a view of the magnificent Mount Sinilochu and Mount Kanchenjunga. This spot also serves as a fabulous picnic place.

Banjhakri Falls: The Banjhakri Falls is situated at a distance of 10-12 kilometres from Gangtok on the way to Ranka monastery. Beautifully landscaped gardens abound the waterfall along with beautiful statues of Lyam Lymay, Mangpas, Lepcha, and Ban Jhakri ancestors. Enchey Monastery: Enchey Monastery, meaning 'the solitary temple', is a holy pilgrimage spot for the Buddhists.
