Cantonese Assembly Hall is a historically significant feudal relic of Hoi An Ancient Town. Constructed in Confucian style by Cantonese merchants, it has served the city's Cantonese Chinese community since 1786. There is a central courtyard and fountain surrounded by stone-and-wood buildings brightly decorated with statues. Its main altar dedicated to Quan Cong and Confucius is extremely large, sitting behind a carved gate with mascots such as dragons, phoenixes, and unicorns.
