Previously named as "Kun Yam Thong", Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery is a fine Buddhist temple beautifully crafted with floral motifs inspired by Chinese architecture. Located on the main street of Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, it is decorated with carved mandala roof and giant statues in vibrant colourful surroundings. The temple is dedicated to the Buddhist goddess of compassion, Kuan Yin.
The main hall is full of mesmerising statues crafted in a golden outlet. 18 different Arhat statues on the ceiling depict a lot about Buddhism and their principles. Meditate in the peaceful environment and be a part of the Ceremony of Repentance of the Great Compassion in the mass chanting ceremony every day. Canteen, staffed by the monks and sages is circled inside the monastery and is extremely famous for the vegan and vegetarian Chinese and Thai delicacies served as a buffet at a nominal price.
