One of the most sought after temple in this whole district of Udupi, Kundeswara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated nearby the Panchagangavalli River, the town is also named after this temple.
Built by Kundavarna, the deity of the temple is a 4 feet high Shivalinga, a garbhagriha idol of black stones. However, only one-third of the Shivalinga is visible while the remaining part is buried under. Idol of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Parvati is also installed in the temple complex.
