Also known as the Somdet Phra Narai National Museum, this palace-turned-museum houses some of the ancient royal artefacts. Housing over 1864 artefacts, King Narai's Palace is the Chantarapisarn pavilion of the palace that was turned into a museum.
An architectural blend of Thai and European elements, King Narai's Palace was built by King Narai himself during his reign. This palace that once led as a charming administrative palace of the king was abandoned for over two centuries upon King Narai's demise. King Narai's Palace was further restored by King Mongkut towards the end of the 19th century as Lopburi City Hall. Along with a hired English guide, there is also a bilingual educational video played for 5 minutes in the chamber.
