A man-made lake built within Hollenbeck Park, the Hollenbeck Lake adds to the lushness of the park that was created in 1892 in the neighborhood of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. A very pristine and well maintained park, it has proven to be an oasis since its inception and has been a favourite of the residents who come out in the wee hours of the morning to relax and unwind themselves around the lake with many features such as a picnic area, grassy knolls, playgrounds for children and a skateboard park for the youth. People often come in for fishing in the lake too.
